Personality: Erik tries hard to act compassionate and outgoing towards those that he doesn't know that closely, but not too hard as to make it look fake. Yet those in his inner circle and close family he can be very analytical and distant from others. He occasionally shifts from these without mention, possibly due to his fragile mental state after his days as a prisoner of war.
Fears/Phobias: Claustrophobia (Fear of tight spaces), and Monophobia (Fear of solitude)

Power Set: Erik has the ability to see sounds as if they were thin wires slowly moving through the air and manipulate them however he sees fit. He also has had his own body augmented so that he can amplify his own various sounds before they're emitted.

How your character acquired his/her/it's powers: During his time as a Lieutenant during the Third World War, his entire platoon was captured off-guard by a Russian squad overnight. Taken to a detention compound, they were all declared Missing in Action, and were not searched after when they were found gone.
While most of his platoon was questioned individually, Erik received the "honor" of being tested on for the effects of "sound torture." Thrown into a padded white room, he was subjected to loud, earth-shattering noises, from virtually every direction. There no end to the sound in sight, as it persisted for what felt like ages to him. The Russians intended the experiment to see how long it would take for someone to go deaf under such conditions.
After six days, he was beaten, but not broken. So to finish off the treatment, and potentially kill him, the sound was amplified to it's maximum, and no one even bothered to check up on Erik during the process while he suffered through what made his ears bleed. Just when he thought it was all over, the unthinkable happened. The compound got hit by a bombing run when the American forces invading the area identified Russian forces inside. Little did they know that there were American prisoners inside, and that only one of them would survive, thanks to his padded torture room.
Though already bleeding and injured, Erik's "cell" was on fire by the time he awoke. In surprise, he screamed and just like that, the fire blew out. Shocked that he was able to perform such a feat, he tried blasting his way through the cell door, which he did. Finally able to escape, Erik shambled through the rubble of the detention center, to find American troops outside that huddled him back to the care of a medical center.
On that day, Erik discovered that he could control sound itself and bend it to his whim. Furthermore, the cybernetics that were implanted to heal his injuries gave him further control over the powers that he now wielded.
Notable Flaws with Power set (List at least 2 preferably more): If too much sound is occuring all at once, it would flood his point of view and not allow him any control over any sounds besides his own. Furthermore, disabling parts of his tech could cause various organs of his body to fail until he could repair it, such as his vocal chords. Just as well, the shock waves he emits can also damage him if he doesn't realize his tech is not fully functional.

Occupation: Erik is the democratically elected leader of White District, the area formerly considered Western America.
Background Information: Erik was a man with decently average features, blond hair, blue eyes, a toned body. He originally lived a peaceful life out of Reno, Nevada, even though the area was not exactly perfectly hospitable. His mother was a waitress, and his father was a lawyer, so him and his sister got by just fine. He originally lived with his parents for quite some time, until about the age of nine. In 2119, his family was attacked by a gang for a prosecution that his father did against one of their members, which got both of his parents killed.
After this, Erik and his sister were put into Foster Care as well as the Witness Protection Program. Erik's name was legally changed to Novero Urlare in the eyes of the government, even though the majority of his records showed otherwise at the moment. For most of his young life, he lived out of Phoenix, Arizona with his foster parents. His life was pretty average up till the point that he sent overseas to fight in the third World War.
Dealing with his traumatic experience (Detailed in the power acquisition section) was overwhelming for Erik but he somehow managed to get through it in one piece and get home to what was left of his country. Left in shambles after various attacks, the nation was divided into two sections, East and West America. Striving for the nation that he once knew, Erik entered politics in 2144. The war would be over soon, and the interim leader would be resigning afterwards.
It wasn't hard to rise up the ranks with Erik's manipulative powers, turning some towards him, and others against his enemies. In 2145, World War III was over. And by then, the people of Western America had already set it in their minds that their next leader would be Novero Urlare, also known as the powered person "Soundtron" in times of crisis, who also happened to chosen as the American ambassador to the United Nations.

- Sound Alteration - Erik has the ability to take sound waves traveling through the air and adjust them as they see fit. To others, it looks like he's just messing with the air, but he can actually adjust the frequency, amplitude, or pitch of the waves.
- Audio Distortion - In the same way that he can alter the properties of sounds in the air, Erik can also alter what people are saying before others have a chance to hear it. This turns friends into enemies, and easily plays to his advantage.
- Deafening - Using the cybernetic amplifications that Erik's been gifted, he has the ability to send crippling shock waves through the systems of he touches, leaving them unable to hear anything around them for a short period of time. However, should anyone damage his tech too heavily and he is unaware of it, he would also go under the effects of his own shock waves.
- Propulsion - Given enough sound emitted from himself or an external source, Erik can shoot himself across short distances in an instant. Generally, he would only use this with external sources as he is subject to a more rapid strain of his vocal chords if he attempts this too often.
- Amplification - Using his own gifts, Erik can simply shout or thrust his hands out and the force behind his vibrations will blow out like a wild wind thrust upon someone. Given the right timing, he could even stop bullets with his power.
