    Name: Ardor Aves (nickname "Turbo")

    Age: 19

    Gender: Female

    Height: 5"10

    Weight: 64kg

    Hair Color: White (dyed)

    Eye Color: Blue

Notable Facial Qualities: Eyes turn red when Clocking (see below).

Personality: As her name implies, Turbo is passionate and impulsive. She's also somewhat lazy, in terms of doing anything she doesn't enjoy - if she doesn't like it, she'll procrastinate for as long as possible so that she doesn't have to do it. As her intensely passionate nature suggests, if she gets caught up in doing something, she'll ignore everything else, and she is a good (if, at times, obnoxiously vibrant) friend and a dangerous enemy. As with anyone extremely passionate, Turbo is quick to anger and prone to coming moping back the next day, depressed and begging forgiveness.

Fears/Phobias: More than anything, Turbo fears being paralyzed; as a side effect, she utterly loathes having nothing to do and will Clock Down as far as possible (see below) in order to rapidly pass the time. She tends to carry a portable game device with her as well, in case she can't Clock Down for whatever reason.

Other Characteristic Flaws: As mentioned above, Turbo's extremely passionate nature causes her to come off as obnoxious or a bit of a busybody (or worse), and she gets angry very, very quickly. It also leads to her acting without thinking, which can be dangerous.

    ----------------------------

Power Set: "Clocking". Turbo describes this power variously as "metabolism control", "super speed", and "time control", depending on who she's trying to impress (or not). It's probably a degree of temporal manipulation, but if that is her power, she's very unimaginative with it.

Individual Powers (List at least four):
    - 'Personal Time Control': Turbo's primarily used power, which is what she usually means by "Clocking". By vastly speeding or slowing her metabolism, Turbo is able to create a range of effects, some mundane and some not. Judging from the fact that she is able to breathe and walk through rain while Clocked Up, this power must effect a field of a few millimeters to centimeters around her body, rather than her personally. As she's capable of feats such as walking on 'floating' debris, the field may be controllable, but if it is, Turbo is incapable of doing it consciously.
    - 'Super Speed': Not true super speed, but a very good imitation thereof. By massively speeding her metabolism, Turbo effectively "speeds up" her body clock, causing her to become incredibly fast (to an outside perspective) and for the world to slow down (to her). Although in theory there is no limit to the extent she can do this, and she has experimented with it, this technique places considerable strain on her body, exhausting her the more extensively she uses it - this drawback is discussed further below. Turbo calls this "Clock Up" and usually matches it with an audible cue.
    - 'Friction': Although Turbo doesn't personally generate a tremendous amount of friction (as her superspeed is not actually a result of her travelling at high speed so much as it is her existing at high speed), continuously applied contact while Clocked Up allows her to generate massive amounts of friction in an apparently small amount of time, potentially lighting the subject on fire. As a result, she wears skintight clothing when possible (things that 'flap' tend to hang, rub, and light, whereas anything skintight appears to travel 'with' her). This has a number of drawbacks discussed below.
    - 'Time Travel': A forwards-only time travel Turbo creates by "reducing the speed" of her body clock, causing her to 'slow down' in relation to the world (as opposed to vice-versa). She refers to this as "Clock Down" and compares it to torpor, but regardless, it causes the world to pass by exceedingly quickly to her, and she uses up very little energy as a result. Turbo uses this to quickly pass long periods of time without tiring her body, and in fact uses less energy the slower she goes, but Clocking Down requires constant focus, because even a few (subjective) minutes' delay for her can mean she's been out of it for hours of real time.
    - Extreme Stamina: Not a function of Turbo's primary Clocking power but rather what she refers to as a "required secondary power", Turbo has superhuman levels of fitness and stamina, a requirement for her mimicking of super speed - she's capable of running for days if need be. In reality, this is probably her selectively slowing and speeding portions of her anatomy - for example, speeding her muscles such that they regenerate faster - but Turbo doesn't seem to be doing it consciously.
    - Rapid Healing: As an offshoot of the above, Turbo heals extremely quickly, although she definitely feels the pain when it comes down on her. Additionally, healing uses up a lot of energy; while she can Clock Up to improve the rate at which she heals in real time, doing so will leave her completely exhausted and drained.

How your character acquired her powers: Turbo gives a different origin story every time she gets asked. Some of the more memorable include being splashed with nuclear waste and being bitten by a radioactive cheetah. She also has a very amusing story about how she "ran until she could outrun time", but this is almost certainly a lie. Quite probably, the results of her discovering her power were extremely embarrassing, and she denies very sternly that she gave her then-boyfriend extreme friction burns.

    Spoiler:

Notable Flaws with Power set (List at least 2 preferably more):
    - Clock Up has issues. Although Turbo can maintain a low-level Clock Up theoretically indefinitely (though it does make her exceedingly hungry), once she begins approaching the level of, to an external appearance, 'teleporting' from place to place - or, from her perspective, of time stop - the strain on her body becomes actively dangerous. The maximum time limit she can hold a "time stop" level of Clock Up for is six (subjective) seconds, after which she is liable to collapse (at the very least, she will not be able to Clock Up again without rest). As a result of this - and her own (human-level) physical abilities - Turbo's 'greatest weapon' is actually a last-ditch resort, and she is more likely to use it to "teleport" to the safest place she can reach within six seconds and hope that nobody finds her. Finally, even though Clock Up emulates super speed, because Turbo is not "actually" moving fast so much as she moves at a normal speed within a decelerated timeframe, and because she is a 5"10, 64kg girl, she doesn't hit anywhere near as hard as her 'fast' punches would imply, meaning that while she can often avoid being hit, she has issues actually dishing out the hurt in return unless she manages a crippling strike.
    - Turbo's "friction" ability, while a great party trick, is a little more dangerous in practice, because, obviously, unless she uses some third party to generate the friction, she is likely to catch fire in the act herself. Right now, she wears padded leather gloves to offset this drawback, allowing her to light flammable substances as if she was striking a match, but using it too much can still burn her fingers through the gloves.
    - Turbo is a little bit stupid. Even if her power is temporal manipulation, the degree to which she uses it is probably only a tiny portion of her potential, and she shows no particular desire to improve it further. While she can get creative within her current limits, she isn't likely to improvise beyond them, making her a "stale" fighter.
    ----------------------------

    Nationality: Australian

    Occupation: Courier

Background Information & Life Experiences: Your standard bored teenager with a fondness for videogames, Turbo largely tried to keep her head down and her business to herself, quietly living with her single mother in Melbourne and enjoying the city lifestyle. She isn't a particularly special case, and is in many ways a stereotypical example of a bored teenager, albeit one with a larger-than-life personality.
Turbo studies Jeet Kune Do quite seriously as a hobby, attending class three days a week and practicing in her spare time if she has nothing better to do (and she rarely has anything better to do). Of course, the problems attendant with her persistent and habitual Clocking cause her to put on virtually no muscle (or fat), so while she's very fast, she's not going to be throwing knockout punches anytime soon. She's very fond of quoting Bruce Lee as a result, particularly referencing anecdotes such as the 'kick faster' incident. Presumably, this is where her actual heroic habits come from, although she is more likely to fight through pranks and frustration than a direct attack.
Since acquiring her powers (which, according to Turbo, happened anywhere from kindergarten to within the last six months depending on which story she is spinning today), she supports herself (and her mother) by both her courier job and by winning videogame tournaments - a slight Clock Up gives her essentially perfect reflexes, allowing her to dominate any game reliant on them even with very little (or no) practice. Turbo has yet to realise that this makes her extremely obvious to anyone who happens to be looking for her.
